Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Dr I have a 1 month baby, he is forever feeding on me. I choose breastfeeding option, however it seems as if the baby is not getting enough. He does not sleep like he should , because he is on the breast. I need to know if it advisable to put him on formula and breast milk now? Please help, cause when the breastmilk is finished, he cries and you could hear that he is not getting anything from it. Urgent !!!
To know that he is feeding enough on breast milk can be shown by its increase in body weight. A 1-month baby can be fed every two hours even during the night.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
