What Causes Excessive Salivation After Gastric Sleeve Surgery?
I am 30 days past gastric sleeve and I noticed excess saliva occurring. I eat my 3 protein meals and 1 shake- stick to 70 gm protein daily. I haven t had meat yet, I am down 25 pounds and am very compliant. I started my vitamins and B12 shot yesterday. What is the cause of the saliva?

One of the main cause of excessive saliva secretion is reduced gastric motility and increasing acid secretion and this can be managed with proton pump inhibitor with peripheral dopamine receptor blocker (Domperidone ) but better to discuss this with your doctor before initiating this because of your medical history given here, take care.
