What Causes Excessive Sleep And Appetite After Taking Antibiotics For Toothache?

I am 54 and female. I went 1000 miles to Ga to clean my father's house to sell. I slammed my car door in between my eyes, had 2 toothaches (my dentist gave me antibiotics and Tramadol) and ate very little because the a/c was broken for 5 days. I'm home but can hardly stay awake all day and I am eating and drinking constantly. I think I'm exhausted but a friend is worried about me. My fever is normal. Is this really serious? YYYY@YYYY

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain excessive sleep and exhausted feeling can be due to side effect of medication that you are advised for toothache while if you slammed the car door and it hit your forehead also, it can also be a mild concussion..

But more chances are of medicine side effects.

I would suggest you to consult your treating dentist or an Emergency room and get evaluated and in case if it is due to side effect of medication, change in medicine or reducing the dose can help..
Although as the medicine intake will be stopped and the drug will wean off from the body then the symptoms will automatically gradually subside..

In case of some other cause it has to be ruled out and treated accordingly..
