Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Excessive Sleep And White Spots Inside The Mouth?
My daughter is 56 and wants to sleep continusly She also has white spots in her mouth and cannot keep her eyes open. She has no fever and is eating as usual. She went to ER and had x rays and ekg done and couldnt find anything wrong. What do you think.
Your daughter will need a thorough check with her doctor, a good physical examination and maybe some blood tests as well. Excessive sleep can be due to many possible conditions from just stress and depression to more important conditions like autoimmune or tumors.
It is good the xrays and ekg are normal, other tests are needed to be done as well like CBC, ERS, TSH, FT4, glucose levels, lipids, ALT, AST, creatinine, electrolytes, etc.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
