What Causes Excessive Sleepiness And Heavy Breathing When Suffering From Sleep Apnea?

Hi, my elderly dad is 82 yrs old and sleeps with a sleep apnea machine to sleep. He is sleeping all day today which is very, very unusual for him. He normaly gets up at 6:00 am and doesnt go to bed till 11:00 pm at night. He had foam in the corners of his mouth and was breathing heavally. He says he s not sick. I gave him some water and gader aid. Any advice?

Yes one experience this in this condition. She should be seen by pulmonologist and she may need sleep studies.
