What Causes Excessive Sleepiness And Sweating?

My husband has not been feeling well for quite a few days. First off, you need to know that he drinks every day, all day, but never seems to get drunk. He started drinking at a very young age. So that s long term. But short term, for a few days he kept saying that he couldn t see straight when he was up, but was sleeping a lot!! I went out of town for a couple of days, but kept in contact with him, and he told me he hadn t eaten anything for 2 1/2 days and still wasn t hungry. Also said he just laid on the couch without TV on due to a sensitivity to bright light and the noise. He has also been sweating while at the same time getting the chills. Any initial thoughts on what might be at the root of this? Getting more & more concerned and I don t know what to do

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello thanks for your question

To find the cause of the symptoms you need to get your husband to do a full body check up. It might be the alcohol but you can't diagnose without doing a minimum of blood exams. First of all take him to the GP.

Kind regards
