Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Over the past few weeks I have felt increasingly sleepy in the afternoons. My doctor has said in the past year that I don t have sleep apnea. I also notice that I am breathing through my mouth a lot of the time. I m not aware of any nasal congestion. I have mild high blood pressure and long standing depression, both go which have been managed well with meds in the past few years.
If there is no nasal congestion ,this should be ruled out with a visit to your doctor, then it may be related to an obstruction at another aspect of the respiratory tract eg the adenoids, tonsils etc
It may be best to see an ENT doctor for an assessment to determine whether one of these is present.
I hope this helps
