What Causes Excessive Sleepiness While On Cardizem And Amiodarone?

My mother was hospitalized with atrial fibrillation ( she had a history of having had it in the past and had been controlled on Amiodarone). With this event she was started one Cardizem 240mg long acting and her Amiodorone was increased to 200mg. Since these medications were started a few days ago, she s been extremely sleepy ( which is not her usual ). Do you think her dosage may be too high? She weighs 119 lbs. thank you, Michelle YYYY@YYYY

Based on the history you have shared, her blood pressure should be regularly monitored while on both of these medications as very low heart beat or low blood pressure can cause such symptoms specially lower blood pressure can make a person dizzy and both have quite dose to cause such side effects.
