What Causes Excessive Sleepiness While On Flonase?
A few weeks ago I went to doctor with slight cough & thought I had sinus or allergies...she told me to take Flonase & cough medicine...now all I want to do is sleep...have no pep or incentive to do anything, very concerned..I have mucous & cough it up. Meds I normally take are Xanax 1am & 1 before bed .5; Nadolol 20 mg daily & paxil 20 mg. daily;D3 1000 iu daily & B12 1000 mcg daily. Name Mary.. YYYY@YYYY
I think I can say that Flonase is not the medicine causing the drowsiness. It is possibly the combination of Xanax (alprazolam) and the cuogh medicine (name unavailable from your message) that may be possibly causing the drowsiness. Besides, the fatigue and tiredness from the sinusitis infection in itself may be leading to the drowsiness. So I think once your course of medicines is over you should feel ok. You can meet your doctor for dose adjustment of the cough medications, or tell us the name of the medicine so that we may suggest a suitable dose or alternative.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
