Hi Sorry to hear you have been struggling with excessive sleepiness. Sleep is good but getting it in excess and at undesired times can be very disturbing. At times it is very difficult to identify the exact cause of excess sleepiness. However, some of the causes are: -Sleep disorders like restless leg syndrome, sleep apnea -Depression -Narcolepsy -Not getting enough sleep -working at night and sleeping during the day -Drugs -Alcohol -Cigarette use -Lack of physical activity -Use of certain medications -Pregnancy especially in the first trimester.... There are just so many causes and to identify the exact cause, a complete sleep history and physical examination be a Doctor is necessary.I will advise you see a Neurologist for evaluation. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
