my 85 yr old husband has alzheimers... he was taking mybetriq but today switched to VECIcare. 10mg. He was totally wiped out... sleeping all day and very confused.... more than ever.... he also could hardly walk without help... should he discontinue the VEIcare or perhaps just reduce the dosage to 5gm. ??????

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think you should consult with her neurologist first. Try reducing the dosage, but I still think her confusion is not due to Vesicare. Should get immediate consultation with neurologist. I think might be related to possible interaction of Vesicare with her other meds she's taking currently.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
