What Causes Excessive Sleeping In A Child?

My daughter is 2-1/2 years old and wide open. she usually takes a 1 hour nap around 2pm. Today she has taken 4 naps about an hour each. She was outside in the pool for two hours yesterday and I thought she just may have over done it a little. She has 2 mosquito bites on her leg. I know its probably nothing but I ll worry all night if I don t ask if it could be something to do with the bites.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you measure the temperature. Maybe she is tired from yesterday and needs to rest. If she eats like every day, has no temperature and no other signs don't worry. There is nothing to worry to with mosquitoes bites.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
