Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Excessive Sneezing And Lower Abdominal Pain On The Right Side?
I have been sneezing a lot lately - allergies. I also joined a gym & just started working out. I am having pain on the lower right side of my belly. I cannot do sit ups. I can do all other exercises and it really hurts when I sneeze. Is it a pulled muscle? I have no other symptoms/fever or anything else.
Very likely you are having a muscular strain, possibly due to exercises or cough. The fact that it is worse on certain movements and with cough confirms this.
You will need to take ibuprofen and paracetamol at the same time. Try to avoid strenuous exercises for a few days and hold your tummy when you cough.
If you are not better in a few days of you notice any worsening, please see your doctor and possibly have an ultrasound done to rule out a hernia.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
