What Causes Excessive Sweating After An Ankle Sprain?
my mother,54, had an ankle sprain 6 days back. she hs an articast applied on her foot now and can walk, though not that freely.since last 3-4 days she is having intermittent episodes of sweating after standing and working in the kitchen for 30-35 mins. she hs no history of any heart disease, htn or dm.she hs been doing treadmill without any complaints prior to the sprain.what could be the cause of this
Sweating can happen due to the pain she is feeling. She also has to make sure she has no numbness in the toes where the cast is put, they should not feel cold or like dead and they should not look blue.
If she notices any cold feeling on the toes, they are blue or they feel numb, the cast might be too tight and she needs urgent care to address this.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
