Hi, I had an implanon implanted Nov 2012. By January I began sweating excessively and returned to my GP to have it removed. He told me that I needed to give it 3 mths at least and that sweating is not a side effect. By the end of the 3 mths the weather was cooling down so I left it in as the sweating slowed down. The next summer was the same but left it in. It is now the 3rd summer since insertion and I had it removed a wk ago. I still seem to be sweating more than prior to having the implanon but I have noticed that it is less. I sweat from every part of my body and after a workout it looks like I have gotten out of the shower. Can implanon have caused this and if so will the sweating reduce to normal?
