Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Excessive Sweating And Body Pain After Taking Hypertension Medications?
My husband is 65 years old. On medication for hypertension. He had chills/sweating last night with body ache. In the past, he would sweat while sleeping but only his head would get wet. This is the first where he had to change his shirt because of the sweating.
As per your query you have symptoms of excessive sweating and body pain after taking hypertension medications and it leads to excessive secretion of oil from sebaceous gland of face which is mainly due to side effects of certain medicine like BP medicine . I would suggest consult cardiologist and discuss about the condition . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . Doctor may also refer you to endocrinologist for condition like hyperthyroidism. Take diet rich in fruits , vegetables and drink plenty of water to prevent body from dehydration. Take lemon juice as well along with salt and sugar added in it.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
