What Causes Excessive Sweating And Burning Sensation Below The Knee?
Friday, I turned away from a sink and my upper body turned but my left leg from the knee down didn t. I heard a very loud pop followed but pain that almost made me vomit. I broke out in a sweat. I did the RICE thing all day and night Friday. Saturday it was sore but I could walk just if I twisted at the knee, it hurt. The back inside of my very lower thigh is where it is most sore to touch along with a very particular spot on the medial front part of the kee. Today I have been having intermittent light burning sensations anterior and below my knee runnin about 6-8 down just to the side of the side of the tibia. Should I be concerned or just rest it s?
It sounds like you are doing the right things, and there is nothing particularly concerning about your symptoms, so I would suggest just continuing to rest it and let it heal.
The only treatment that may help at this point would be physical therapy to strengthen the muscles around the joint to help support it.
Only if you had significant instability of the knee would an MRI be needed for surgery considerations.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
