Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Excessive Sweating And Pressure In The Lower Abdomen?
My girlfriend hasn t had her period in almost 3 months we have taken a pregnancy test with 2 negatives but she has been getting really sick and sweaty in the mornings and she says that she felt a flutter and then some pressure in her lower stomach. What does this mean
Before I go to my conclusions I would like to know if your girlfriend takes any birth control pills and if she suffers from any other medical condition.
Hormone imbalance and lifestyle factors are the main cause of absent menstruation. I think your girlfriend must see a doctor who will determine if there are any more serious gynecologic disorders like ovarian cancer for example apart excluding pregnancy. It is better to do some tests and the abdominal US or CT is necessary too.
Also, the thyroid gland maybe needs to be checked for excessive production of hormones and adequately treat it.
I hope this was helpful for you both.
Good luck Dr.Albana
