What Causes Excessive Sweating And Thirst Followed By Chills, Cramps And Fatigue?

During long strenuous bike rides 70+ miles in hilly terrain I sweat heavily and consume large amounts of water with little urine output. Afterward I experience cramping and chills and a feeling of fatigue. As an example I rode 70 miles drank over 90 ounces of water and Gatorade and urinated twice. I was soaked from head to toe.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is a very good idea to sweating and having physical activity but you should replace lost fluids and electrolytes. You should drink mineral water, fruit juices to replace lost minerals during sweating.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.

Regards,
