Hello,
Having new hot flashes, after they resolved after
menopause, is not funny to me. I think this needs to be looked into.
For starters, you should have a
complete blood count with a differential (CBC with differential) to make sure there is no elevation in white blood count, no anemia.
Also get a thyroid panel (TSH, T4). Hot flashes can be due to many different things including carcinoid syndrome,
pheochromocytoma, pancreatic islet-cell tumours,
renal cell carcinoma, neurological flushing, flushing reaction related to alcohol and drugs, and flushing associated with food additives.
If it turns out that somehow this is related to post-menopause, the medication
clonidine can help. But before jumping to that, an evaluation needs to be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
