What Causes Excessive Sweating, Tremors And High Blood Pressure After Tooth Extraction?

everytime i get a tooth extracted after leaving the chair i go into shock. complete sweats. cold. uncontollable shaking, rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure, cold extremities, hands turn purple, and one time even losing vision. what the heck happens? done nthat 3 times in a row now. scared to get anymore teeth pulled and terrified of multiple pulled for the denture i NEED.

Hi Dear,

welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of excessive sweating, tremors and high blood pressure after tooth extraction which seems to be due to dental phobia and sudden loweing of blood pressure due to nervousness. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to stat relaxed as much as possible. Drink plenty of water and try to divert yoir mind while extraction going on. It could be due to history of underlying medical disease and medications you are taking which could leads to these symptoms and you should take your medication properly before coming for extraction. Visit oral physician once and get blood tests done and start treatment accordingly.
