What Causes Excessive Thirst In The Afternoon And The Evening?
I have excessive thirst that has developed over the last couple weeks. I m not thirsty in the morning. It comes on usually later in the afternoon and continues till I go to bed. My husband and I stopped eating meat about 3-4 weeks ago. Diabetes does run in my family. Should I go to a doctor to rule out diabetes?

Yes,you need to check your blood sugar levels.Diabetes is one of the common cause of increased thirst and frequent urination in patients. You have an increased risk since family history of diabetes is seen. Fasting blood sugar and blood sugar after one and a half hours after food which is called as post prandial blood sugar should also be taken.
