What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge Post Menopause?
I am a 70 y.o. post menopausal woman who had a partial hysterectomy at age 40. (Ovaries intact.) I m diabetic. Recent A1C: 6.0. Am currently recovering from 2nd gout episode in two years. During this past week I am experiencing a clear vaginal discharge that leaves wet spots on the sheet at night. Never had this problem before. What can this be and what can be done? I cannot see a doctor for at least a week.
Dear mam Being a diebetic at this age it is quite normal that we might get a fungal or anaerobic infection resulting in the discharge. Is this discharge foul or fishy smelling. Please dont worry as it is quite common and can be easily treated with antifungal gel or cream like candid vaginal cream.Mean while please take care about the hygiene of the intimate areas. Please be assured that the gout treatment has nothing to do with it. I would also advise for a urine routine test to rule out any underlying urine infeciton.Do take care of your diet and rest. Hope this helps you most welcome for further queries
