Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What does it mean when your vagina is leaking a large amount of a clear substance, kind of like water? It s been going on for a few days, I noticed it when I thought I started my period but it was actually that liquid. It s getting heavier to where it looks like I sorta peed myself.
Excessive vaginal discharge could be linked to infection. in medical terms this condition is called leucorrhea which may be caused by infections with bacteria, yeast, or other microorganisms. It can also be sexually transmitted. I would suggest I would also suggest to maintain proper hygiene. Treatment may include antibiotics, such as metronidazole. Other antibiotics common for the treatment of STDs include clindamycin or tinidazole.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manreet Benipal, General & Family Physician
