What Causes Excessive Vaginal Discharge?

Hi Doctor. I was tested negative for sexually transmitted diseases but had a good amount of discharge. My doctor said that the specimen report was negative and it does not rule out the possibility of an infection. She said I had mixed discharge. And gave me AF-kit. I finished it yesterday as I had to take it in a single day. I wanted to ask that should I be taking another round of Af-kit after some time or will this be enough? Also...my urine sample tested positive for leukocytes and pus cells and further for e-coli. Could this be resulting from the same STI infection?

Hi,

It may be infection like bacterial vaginosis or yeast.

You can go for a vaginal swab to make a diagnosis.

As of now apply Clotrimazole vaginal lotion for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist, better to consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
