What Causes Excessive Weight Gain And Dark Urination While On Opiate Medication?

I ve been on opiate pain medication for 13 yrs. After a bad car wreck. Have crps/rds. Recently, I ve been concerned due to several factors. I don t have a pcm right now, been scheduled yet waiting on upcoming appt. I ve gain a lot of weight in past yr or so-about 50lbs. Also, very dark urine, I m worried that the prolonged use of those medicationsites has caused some problems but not sure what it could be. Ive been on opana er and percocet for a very long time. Celexa, celebrex and a muscle relaxerstrength have been on more recently and sevreal others throughout the years.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to excretory products if opiates and will settle by itself.

No definite treatment is required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
