What Causes Excessive Weight Gain And Fluid Retention In The Body?

Had a parathyroidectomy 2 months ago and have gained about a stone since even though I am dieting. Also seem to be retaining more fluid even though I am drinking less and removing more fluid whilst having dialysis. Take recognitions 50 micrograms daily. Do I need a higher dose. Am feeling bigger daily. Help.
