What Causes Excessive Weight Gain While Suffering From Thyroid Dysfunction?

I have had extensive testing by endo dr and my thyroid meds were reduced from 2 to 1 and at now at a low dosage. I gained 15 lbs within a few weeks. I m wondering if I should get a second opinion. The meds I were on were prescribed by another endo. I changed doctors when I moved from NC to IL.

Hello,

You might be having uncontrolled thyroid hormone despite taking thyroid medicine. This might be due to the low dosage of thyroid medicine. So get done fresh thyroid function test.
