Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have seen about a 25 lb weight loss in the past 6 months. I also wake up each morning with a headache towards the back of my head that lasts about 2 hrs after I am awake. More recently I have have back aches, but I have had a bad back for many years and have dealt with the pain. The back pain is more evident when I gained weight.
Bulging bellies are becoming the norm at an alarming rate. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that more than one-third of US adults are obese. Those extra pounds you're carrying around can lead to back pain because of the strain excess weight puts on your body.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Monish De, Oncologist
