I have lost 39 lbs in 3 months unexplained my neurologist ordered labs and urine test she found out I had a uti and gave me an antibiotic, I was in a MVA in 1996 since I ve had 6 spine surgeries 1 L 4/5 L5/s 1, 1 L 1-2 3. C 4/5 5/6 1 6/7 , and I have FMS, neuropathy,DDD, when I saw my neurologist 2 weeks she told me I needed to really try and eat because at that point I had lost 27 lbs in 2 1/2 months so I ve been trying to eat I ve been very nauseous and been having vertigo, I weighed today and I ve lost another 11 lbs in 2 weeks. I have an appt for a MRI on the 10th then on the 16 I have an appt with my gp

Hello,

Due to persistent infection you are suffering from weight loss.
However, we need to rule out for the possibility of any neoplastic growth in the kidney.

Tell me one thing you have any blood in urine. It is better to visit an emergency room for urine culture. you may also need a biopsy. There is nothing to worry as your problem is targeted properly you will relieve from it.
