This is Sahil. I had a protected vaginal case with a commercial sex worker for 7 times in the last 1.5 years. My last exposure with sex worker was on 15 jan 16. We also had a Kiss but not a single oral sex ever. Everytime she wear 2 condoms. But at once she wear only one condom. At 6th time when she wear only one condom which was 10 months ago from today and after that I had worst flu after 1 week. Last month I heard from one of my friend that the people who oftenly visits to brothels had high risk of HIV infection. I am totally shocked after that. I search the symptoms of HIV on internet and the day after that I saw the smptoms in my body increasing day by day. The symptoms are 1 day- Dry Throat 3 day- Leg muscle pain 1 week- Abdominal pain/Sweat 1.5 week Severe headache/ tremors in muscles, abdomen & in neck I totally get depressed. thinking to suicide. I am suffering of guilt and becoming paranoid just by thinking that wha woul happen if I come positive. And finally I decided to get tested. The Doctor told me that to do HIV Trodot Test along with VDRL, Haemogram & Urine Analysis. Both of them came negative.After that I also checked my weight continuously which is reducing 3 - 4gms day by day. The result for haemogram also came normal except my HCT count Which was 40.9 (which is below Normal range). On the basis of this report the doctor told me that the symptoms are cause by your phobia and depression for hiv. He gave me anti depressants. Now I am feeling well but not completely. My weight is still decreasing even though I am on completely rest now. I am also confused about my reports. Now my question is why my weight is reducing continuously ? Should I trust on this Test which was taken after 4.5 months of last exposure? Bcoz I heard that it takes some 6 months to come positive after infection. Should I reconfirmed by Western Blot Test ?
