Hello, My name is Beverly. I am a 62 year old African-American who have suffered with Sickle Cell Disease all my life. In the last few years I have been diagnosed with Congestive heart failure. My question is lately I ve been suffering with numbness in my face. Most of the time it occurs at night, when I take my medication which include Hydroxurea ,carvedilol, simvastatin, spironolactone, lisinopril and furosemide. (I personally think it has a lot to do with the medication). It s a very excruciating pain usually around my mouth. It feels like someone is stabbing me in my gums with a large needle and numb at the same time, if you can imagine that. Lately it has not been so much excruciating but has been occurring more frequently almost nightly. It really messes with my sleep and usually last for at least an hour. What can I do to alleviate this nuisance? Thank you in advance for any advice.
