What Causes Excruciating Pain In Arms At Night While Treating Pinched Nerve?

I have excruciating pain in both my arms that usually only affect me at night. I sleep no more than 3 hours at a time. I ve been treated for pinched nerve in the past but steroids have done nothing for this pain. I recently started eating carbs again after being on Atkins... could the gluten be causing this horrible pain?

Hello,

As for the pinched nerve, there will be radiating pain symptoms. If steroids are giving it will help reduce pain in most cases. Doing physiotherapy along with steroids have a significant outcome score.

Physiotherapy treatment like - therapeutic ultrasound therapy, TENS therapy and neck exercises will help reduce pain and symptoms due to a pinched nerve.

Also using a cervical collar will help stabilize the cervical spine and reduce the nerve root entrapment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
