I m a 55 year old male, 3 months ago I was playing racquetball with 3 other guys. I slipped and almost did the complete splits. My groin has been so incredibly sore I was thinking I had a hernia. My symptoms are mostly when I squeeze my legs together, like holding an apple between my knees its excruciating pain on both sides of my groin. What do you think
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have excruciating pain in either side of groin. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like swollen lymph gland , hernia , sexually transmitted infections or saphena varix. Sometimes problem like UTI or sciatica can also cause such problem I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically and check for tenderness and consistency , take sample for lab test and prescribe antibacterial or anti viral depending upon the diagnosis . Doctor may also prescribe anti inflammatory and vitamin supplement for quick healing . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminopehn for pain and apply warm compresses . Doctor may also refer you to urologist for problem like UTI or to orthopedic surgeon for nerve compression .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
