What Causes Extreme Cough And Fatigue While On Antibiotics?
I have taken Azithromycin Tablets USP 250 mg starting last Tuesday. I am no better. I have COPD. Last night I woke up two times coughing and spitting. I cough off and on all day. I have not had a lot of energy the last few days. I really just want to stay in bed and sleep. This coughing is wearing me down. I guess I will call my pulmonary doctor s office tomorrow.

Bronchodilator syrups like asthalin can be taken. You can also go for a sputum culture and start antibiotics according the culture reports. An X-ray chest is required as a preliminary investigation.
