What Causes Extreme Dizziness During 5th Week Of Pregnancy?

I am 5.5 weeks pregnant and experiencing extreme dizziness. I am staying in bed to avoid fainting, and I have already had over a gallon of water today without improvement. I went to the ER a week ago b/c I fainted twice, and the feeling kept getting worse. Conclusion was a combo of physical stress from early pregnancy, a virus I was fighting and a hgb of 10.6 due to a miscarriage a month ago. (We were preventing this cycle, but ended up pregnant again.) One miscarriage at 5 weeks in August, one miscarriage at 5.5 weeks in October, and now pregnant again. My Hcg was 1719 5 days ago, up from 340 3 days prior when I was in the ER. I had been having a lot of cramping since Wednesday, but I think it was related to constipation. I finally had a bowel movement this morning, and I haven't had cramping today. I had spotting on Thursday, but none since. Should I go to the ER for IV fluids to get hydrated faster than I can urinate?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,I have gone through your question. Pregnancy is associated with decreased blood pressure due to hormonal changes. When the body is adapting to this low blood pressure early in pregnancy, dizziness is quite frequent.
Low haemoglobin is also one of the cause of dizziness, but your haemoglobin is not that low.
I suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist so that you can be properly examined and an ultrasound can be done to rule out any ectopic pregnancy because it also causes extreme dizziness and needs to be treated urgently.
If all investigations are normal, then do take plenty of fluids, avoid prolonged standing and rest with the leg end a bit elevated.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
