Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had foot surgery 4 weeks ago to replace joint of big toe on right foot. I had to rest, elevate and ice foot which I have done, but I am experiencing extreme fatigue. I can move around and then have to rest. So tired, do not want to move even to hold a book to read. I am still wearing a boot, not driving, etc. Mainly resting due to fatigue. My primary physician checked my vit b and d levels and both are normal. I did develop a UTI which I took for 10 days, off of now and not taking pain meds or antibitotics at present.

What Causes Extreme Fatigue After Foot Surgery?
Hello, If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible causes like anemia. As of now drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
