Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Extreme Fatigue Along With Night Sweats?
Hi I have been experiencing extreme fatigue, night sweats (on and off) for approximately a year. I have also noted a swollen lymph node behind my left ear which is quiet prevalent (and does not go away, but is not sore), In recent weeks I have also noted some lumps in my neck (sore) just above the collar bone and under the jaw, under my arm pits and from time to time in my groin. I get a rash/pimple like on my chest and jawline that is filled with either soft or hard white substance similar to a pimple but does not present with a head.
It looks like you have a generalized swelling of the lymph nodes all over the body. You are suggested to visit ER, without delay. Get all required investigations (Blood, Urine & Imaging tests) done. You need to be physically examined, evaluated to rule out lymphatic system disorder (Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma or Hodgkin's Lymphoma/lymph node TB), Immune system disorder, HIV, Lupus, Mononucleosis or RA.
Night sweats & fatigue are indicative of developing pathology or medical conditions mentions above. Your treatment will depend upon the pathology detected.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
