Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Extreme Fatigue, Dizziness And Shooting Pain In Lower Abdomen Post Miscarriage?
I had a natural miscarriage a few days ago. Hcg levels have been tested twice and are down to 23 and below. I am having extreme fatigue, and getting dizzy and lightheaded. Also, am having a quick shooting pain in my lower abdomen every now and then. Is this normal to the healing process or should I be checked out?
Since you had a natural abortion and now are having pain in the lower abdomen associated with dizziness and fatigue, you are suggested to get clinically examined by your gynecologist. You should get your vitals checked, get CBC (Hb%), urinalysis done. Get pelvic examination and USG done to detect any fetal tissues and remains of placenta that need to be removed. You may need to get a D and C done.
In the meantime you can take antacids and spasmol (spasmoproxyvon) for relief. Take food rich in iron, calcium, magnesium and proteins or supplements. Take adequate rest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
