What Causes Extreme Headache, Body Ache And Lethargy?

My 14 year old son is 5 6 and 140 lbs. He has suffered from extreme headache and body ache, lethargy and overall just feeling miserable for going on 6 weeks now. He has been on 3 different antibiotics for sinus infection ( no change); checked for numerous conditions, including an MRI (no contrast) and a liver scan, and has been evaluated by a neurologist and a concussion specialist. Nothing can be uncovered as to the cause of his pain. He is unable to go to school, as he cannot concentrate or read anything of significance without severe headache and difficulty concentrating. Any suggestions as to what this could be?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Severe headache without any obvious cause could be hypochondriasis. Hypochondriasis is a condition where patient feels the pain but there is no obvious cause for the pain or somatoziation. I suggest you to consult a psychiatrist for clinical assessment and thus management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
