What Causes Extreme Nausea, Weakness And Ringing In Ears After A Fall?

fell down a flight of stairs. when I landed experienced extreme nausea, weakness, ear ringing. Rested for a few minutes and it subsided. Didn't hit my head during the fall, just knee, lower back, arm, shoulder. One knee is very sore and difficult to extend, flex, and bear weight. Should I got to see a doc for examination or is it okay to rest and wait to see if soreness improves?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
Ringing sound in ear is produced in inner ear pathology which is associated with nausea and vomiting.
If there is no difficulty in hearing need not worry about it.
Regarding knee, it is advisable to consult your physician, and with X-ray to rule out any bone injury.
In the mean time taking pain killer and adequate rest will help.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Thank you.
