my husband has been breaking out in sweats all times of the day that just soak him and he is extremely overheated and doesn t feel well and needs to lay down. This has been going on for several months. He had blood work which showed everything normal.
Hello Thanks for writing to HCM Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) is a common problem, especially of the palms, armpits and soles. It can be distressing and can have a serious impact on your life. . A whole range of conditions can cause a generalised increased sweating. For example:
Anxiety disorders. Various heart problems. Damage to nerves in the spinal cord. Side-effects to certain medicines. Various hormonal problems (including an overactive thyroid gland). Infections. Certain cancers. If you have generalised hyperhidrosis your doctor is likely to examine you and do some tests to find out the cause.
