I am having extreme tenderness on my ribcage, symmetrically, for the entire area from my armpit to my breast. I am 46 years old and perimenopausal. I have suffered from fibromyalgia; however, this is not one of the typical trigger point areas, and the tenderness is much more extreme than the fibromyalgia trigger points ever were. I have not increased exertion nor been injured recently.
