General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Several factors, including muscle strain or sprain, overuse or improper technique during exercise, and poor posture or body mechanics, can cause extreme tightness and painful sensation in the lower back after exercise. It can also be caused by underlying medical conditions such as arthritis or a herniated disc. If the pain persists or becomes severe, it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional to determine the cause and appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
