What Causes Extreme Tiredness After Thyroid Replacement Therapy?

i started on thyroid replacement 25mcg 3 weeks ago. Within two weeks i became exttemely tired. I called my doctor and he doubled my dose. I am still very tired but it has only been 3 days on new dose. I feel much worse than before i started this. What would happen if i just stop taking this med.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The extreme tiredness is related to hypothyroid issue most likely and the same must be evaluated with current levels of serum free T3, T4 and Thyroid stimulating hormone for best management guidelines. Currently it would be better to stop the intake of Thyroxin further doses.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
