What Causes Extreme Tiredness And Muscle Cramps In The Feet And Legs?
I am extremely tired, to the point that I get worn out walking from my car to my apartment. But, when I go to bed, I cannot sleep, because my feet and legs get really bad cramps. so much so that I have to get out of bed and walk around to walk the cramps off. what could these symptom be indicative of?
Blood tests would be needed to rule out abnormal levels of electrolytes and also to check for any inflammation that could be affecting the muscles and nerves supplying them. A complete blood count and ESR would check for this inflammation.
Treatment would depend on the cause found. If it is restless leg syndrome then medication and lifestyle changes would be used.
I hope this helps
