What Causes Extremely Sore Red Hands Most Of The Time?

I have had very sore red hands for almost a year. The skin does crack on the creases of my finger joints mostly my thumbs. It is very painful to wash my hands when my hands become inflammed. They do crack and my hands bleed and swell. At first I thought it was contact dermatitis. I have Been on various medications and steriods orally and aswell as shots and creams. Some days they are calm and other days they are very unbearable.I Have tried various eczema creams. Nothing seems to help. It gets in the way of my job. I wash my hands several times a day.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, first of all psoriasis need to be ruled if this is so then you wont get any benefit of treatment you have taken, now as long as the differential diagnosis is concern, it could be fungal infection and this can be managed on tentative basis with "Miconazole cream" but psoriasis need to be ruled out hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
