What Causes Eye Floaters, Blurred Vision And Headache?

My 15 year old daughter says she saw a lot of black dots whereas she could barely see her teacher this evening, once the spots left she got a headache. the headache went away for a brief moment it has now returned and is worse than it was before after she saw the black spots. What could be the cause of this?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have eye floaters, blurred vision and headache . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like age-related changes in the vitreous , uveitis , bleeding into the vitreous , torn retina , sinusitis or ear problem . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan along with examination of ear with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , gentamycin , anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to ophthalmologist for eye problem . I would suggest you to take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . For now avoid bending forward , take proper rest and take steam .
