What Causes Eye Floaters In The Line Of Vision?

Hello. I am having an issue with my right eye in that in my periphery I see flashes of light that are vertical in nature. I noted it two evenings ago and thought I was seeing lightening out of the corner of that eye, but I was not. It is intermittent but always the same pattern, vertical lines flashing for about a second or less, often 2-3 in rapid succession. Should I be concerned? Tammi Hoffmam

exclude glaucoma and go for fundus examination.preferabily indirect ophthalmoscope for4 wider field there may be retinal problem with holes tear and peripheral detachment. consult retina surgeon for examination and advise on treatment. may require laser aplication
