What Causes Eye Infection Despite Using Clindamycin And Benadryl?
I have an eye infection that has my right eye swollen , no discharge , but moved into left eye and has started swelling down the right side of my face . it has been 6 days and has developed ,sharp searing pain behind eye. went to e.r. they prescribed erthromiacin gel, within 16 hrs. it got worse, went back, they prescribed clindamycin, swelling was worse.. went to see ophthalmologist, he said I had allergic reaction and gave me stearoid eye drop and told me to take benydril. it feels worse.. what do you think.

Without examination it is difficult to say what it is. As you ha e been examined by opthalmologist and diagnosed as allergic reaction, it might be the case.
Steroids are the right agent to address allergies, kindly continue the treatment as suggested.
